Singapore - A Transformational Trip!

A transformational trip! On the 8th September, 10 students & 5 staff from Hester Hornbrook took off for a whirlwind 5 day adventure to Singapore! For some, it was the first time they had been in a plane, left their families and ventured to a new country!

As we touched down in Singapore, we were greeted by Gene, our beloved travel guide. Gene was exceptional at keeping us all on our toes!
There were SO many highlights – rollercoasters at Universal Studios, cycling through the streets of Singapore, hopping on Singapore’s giant wheel the Singapore Flyer, visiting our sister schools Crest and Northlight, the Zoo, Night Safari - staying at a hotel! One of the greatest parts of this trip was eating at the traditional Hawker Centres which are huge food courts.
Everyone was so adventurous, trying new culinary delights.

Throughout the trip, Gene shared his personal stories with us which imprinted on all of our hearts. In Gene’s words, “Every day is a new day with new possibilities. You are brave, you are confident, you are powerful, you are beautiful, and you are loved. But most importantly, you are you- love yourself a little more every day. Be unstoppable.
