We were honoured to have Uncle Shane Clarke, proud Bunurong man and Senior Cultural Heritage Representative from the Bunurong Land Council open the ceremony with a powerful Welcome to Country.
It was exciting to welcome so many local, state and federal members and education professionals from the local community to celebrate this momentous occasion with us.
It was also fabulous to catch up and celebrate with the team who made the dream of a stand-alone, healing oriented campus (with green space!) in Werribee, a successful reality. Thank you Project managers SEMZ, Architect Gray Puksand, Construction Hutchinson Builders, and the amzing team from Melbourne City Mission and the Hester Hornbrook Academy Board. The dream team!
