Sally plans to take a well-earned break after which she intends to pursue other professional and personal interests.
Sally’s final day will be 11 December, 2026. This provides the Hester Hornbrook Board with optimal time to undertake a comprehensive recruitment process to select the new Executive Principal and ensure the smooth ongoing operation of the school.
The Board will engage the services of a specialist consultancy to support the recruitment process, which will commence immediately. This is an important next step for the school; one that the Board will consider and execute with diligence and care in the best long-term interests of the school.
The Board thanks Sally for her passionate and unwavering commitment to Hester Hornbrook staff, students and families, and to its purpose.
In her almost eight years with Hester Hornbrook, Sally has led the school’s response to the significant increasing demand for specialist education services in our community; growing Hester Hornbrook from a relatively small specialist school to become a leading institution that supports almost 800 young people across five Melbourne campuses and soon to include a new Geelong campus, opening in 2027.
The Board is grateful to Sally for her leadership, dedication and service. We wish her every success for the future.
