HOPE Framework

HOPE Framework

Our Healing Oriented Program of Education TM (HOPE) is a holistic framework that supports young people to become active participants in their own journey. This journey is co-created through evidence-informed practices that give equal importance to wellbeing and learning.

The 3 core features of HOPE are:

  • Wellbeing for Learning & Learning for Wellbeing
  • Multi-disciplinary team
  • Restorative Practices Model

HOPE is focused on implementing trauma-informed practices to create healing-oriented environments.

Embedding the HOPE framework throughout all we do at Hester Hornbrook allows us to:

  • ensure wellbeing and learning are always considered equally in every aspect of a student’s education and personal growth.
  • be trauma-informed and healing-oriented in every interaction.
  • create a safe and predictable environment of healing where young people can thrive and feel secure.
  • prioritise the individual needs of each student to develop a strong sense of self, to explore their potential and create a plan for their future.
  • carefully design both the physical environment and student experience.

We provide bespoke Professional Learning to support the development of healing-oriented environments.
