HYBRID CAMPUS

Hester Hornbrook Hybrid gives students the best of both worlds, two days of online learning and three days on campus learning. This campus supports young people who thrive from consistent routines, wrap around support from staff and the balance of both in person and online environments.

Our classrooms are not like traditional classrooms

We offer high quality learning programs to meet individual student's needs. Applied learning principles inform all our classroom curriculum offerings. The classroom team comprising of a Teacher, Youth Worker and Education Support creates a safe and connected learning environment.

The Hybrid campus provides:

  • Three days on campus learning allowing students the opportunity to connect with classroom teams and peers, receive hands-on support, and build strong relationships. These days help create a sense of belonging and community, while giving students the structure and stability they need.
  • Two online learning days follow the same structure as on-site days, offering a familiar routine from the comfort of home. Students stay connected with their teachers and classmates through virtual sessions, ensuring they remain supported, engaged, and on track with their learning goals.

Note: An online supervisor will be required to be in attendance and contactable for the online days of learning 10am to 3pm. A declaration will need to be signed to confirm this commitment.

This is a full-time class enrolment with participation in the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) or VCE Vocational Major (VM)

The Hybrid campus is best suited to students if they have:

  • Experienced disengagement from education for more than 10 weeks.
  • Have a diagnosed or imputed mental health condition.
  • Experienced previous success or enjoyment in an online learning environment.
  • The support of a guardian to participate in online learning during the ‘on-line’ days.
